  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

  • Optional: pinch of chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts, removing any yellow or damaged outer leaves.
  2. Pat the Brussels sprouts dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove moisture.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cut side down if possible, avoiding overcrowding.
  6. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the sprouts halfway through to ensure even crisping. Watch closely starting at 12 minutes to avoid burning.
  7. While the sprouts cook, whisk together honey and balsamic vinegar in a small bowl until smooth. Add chili flakes if desired.
  8. When the sprouts are done, transfer them to a serving bowl and immediately drizzle with the balsamic honey mixture. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  9. Serve promptly for best texture and flavor. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.

Dry Brussels sprouts thoroughly before air frying to ensure crispiness. Drizzle the balsamic honey sauce after cooking to avoid burning the sugars. Flip or shake the basket halfway through cooking for even crisping. Leftovers reheat best in the air fryer, not microwave.
