A quick and easy summer drink blending fresh mango, tequila, lime, and Tajín seasoning for a sweet, tangy, and spicy slushie perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh mango, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup tequila blanco
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Tajín seasoning for rimming glasses and a pinch in the blend
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt (mixed with Tajín for the rim)
  • Lime wedges for garnish and rubbing the glass rims

Instructions

  1. Pour equal parts Tajín seasoning and coarse salt onto a small plate.
  2. Rub the rim of each glass with a lime wedge, then dip the rims into the Tajín-salt mixture to coat well. Set glasses aside.
  3. Add the chopped fresh mango into your blender. If using frozen mango, thaw slightly to ease blending.
  4. Pour in tequila blanco, fresh lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup.
  5. Add ice cubes to the blender.
  6. Blend on high for about 1-2 minutes until smooth and slushie consistency is achieved. If too thick, add a splash of cold water or lime juice; if too thin, add more ice cubes and pulse again.
  7. Taste and adjust by adding a pinch of Tajín inside the blender or more simple syrup if desired.
  8. Pour the slushie into the prepared glasses, garnish with a lime wedge and a sprinkle of Tajín on top.

Notes

If you want to make ahead, blend mango mixture without ice and refrigerate up to 4 hours. Add ice and blend again before serving. Use ripe mangoes for best sweetness and texture. Adjust ice amount to balance thickness. Chill glasses beforehand for colder drinks. For mocktail version, replace tequila and triple sec with orange juice and sparkling water.
