A simple and elegant chocolate covered strawberry bouquet that’s quick to make and perfect for gifting on any occasion. This recipe combines fresh strawberries dipped in glossy chocolate, arranged beautifully to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 large fresh strawberries with green tops intact
  • 8 ounces (227g) semi-sweet, dark, or milk chocolate chips or bars
  • 2 ounces (57g) white chocolate (optional, for drizzling or decoration)
  • 20 wooden skewers (1012 inches long)
  • Floral foam or Styrofoam block (approximately 6×6 inches)
  • Tissue paper, cellophane, or colored parchment paper for wrapping
  • Ribbon or twine for tying the bouquet
  • Optional sprinkles or nuts such as crushed pistachios, toasted coconut flakes, or edible gold dust

Instructions

  1. Rinse strawberries gently under cold water and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels. Leave green tops on.
  2. Insert one wooden skewer halfway into the stem end of each strawberry, ensuring it is secure but not piercing through the bottom.
  3. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and glossy. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler over simmering water.
  4. Dip each skewered strawberry into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Let excess chocolate drip off and place on parchment paper to set.
  5. If using white chocolate, melt separately and drizzle over dipped strawberries. Sprinkle nuts or edible glitter while chocolate is still wet.
  6. Allow dipped strawberries to cool at room temperature until chocolate hardens, about 20-30 minutes. Avoid refrigeration to keep chocolate shiny.
  7. Place floral foam in a container and insert the skewered strawberries, arranging them in layers or circles to mimic a bouquet. Fill gaps with tissue paper or greenery if desired.
  8. Wrap the bouquet with tissue paper or cellophane and secure with a ribbon or twine bow. Add a handwritten note or tag for personalization.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing. Use room temperature strawberries for best results. Avoid refrigeration after dipping to maintain chocolate shine and texture. If chocolate thickens during dipping, gently reheat. Soak skewers in water before use to prevent burning if using stovetop melting.
