Galentine Rosé Gummy Bears - featured image

These homemade gummy bears blend fruity rosé, berry juice, and a hint of lemon for a playful, grown-up treat perfect for parties, gifting, or girls’ nights. Quick to make and customizable, they’re a crowd-pleasing, Instagram-worthy snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rosé wine (or sparkling rosé)
  • 1/2 cup berry juice (strawberry, raspberry, or berry blend)
  • 3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Edible glitter or sanding sugar (optional, for garnish)
  • For non-alcoholic version: replace rosé with sparkling grape juice or pink lemonade
  • For vegan version: substitute 2 teaspoons agar-agar for gelatin (follow package directions)

Instructions

  1. Set gummy bear molds on a sheet pan or tray for easy transport. Prepare dropper or spoon.
  2. Pour rosé wine and berry juice into a small saucepan. Add lemon juice if using. Heat gently over low until just warm (do not boil).
  3. Sprinkle granulated sugar into the liquid and whisk until dissolved, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle gelatin evenly over the warm liquid. Let sit for 1 minute to bloom, then whisk gently until fully dissolved (about 4-5 minutes). Mixture will thicken and turn glossy.
  5. Stir in edible glitter or food coloring if desired.
  6. Working quickly, use a dropper or spoon to fill each gummy bear mold to the top.
  7. Transfer tray with molds to the fridge. Chill for at least 2 hours, or until bears are firm and bouncy.
  8. Carefully unmold the gummy bears. If they stick, gently press from the back or freeze molds for 10 minutes before unmolding.
  9. Arrange on a platter or in jars for serving or gifting.
  10. For vegan bears, substitute agar-agar and follow the same steps, filling molds quickly as agar sets faster.

Notes

Do not boil the rosé; heat just until warm to preserve flavor and texture. Bloom gelatin fully for smooth, bouncy bears. Fill molds quickly as mixture thickens while cooling. For vegan or kid-friendly versions, swap gelatin for agar-agar and rosé for juice. Store gummies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage. Use heart or star molds for fun shapes.
