Soft, chewy blondies with festive mix-ins like red and green candies, white chocolate chips, and pecans, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup red and green candy-coated chocolates
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line your 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture and whisk until fully incorporated. The batter should look glossy and smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Use a spatula to fold the mixture until no dry streaks remain. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips, red and green candy-coated chocolates, and chopped pecans (if using). Make sure the mix-ins are evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let the blondies cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack before slicing into squares.

Notes

For clean edges when slicing, chill the blondies in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before cutting. Feel free to customize mix-ins like dried cranberries or crushed peppermint candies.
