A quick and easy crockpot recipe for smoky, tangy little smokies simmered in a sweet-savory sauce, perfect for game days, parties, and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450 grams) Little Smokies Sausages
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 cup (240 grams) Grape Jelly
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Yellow Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Worcestershire Sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) Onion Powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, grape jelly, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well until smooth and fully blended.
  2. Pour the little smokies sausages into the crockpot. No need to thaw them first.
  3. Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the little smokies and gently stir to coat all sausages.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours. Stir gently around the 2-hour mark.
  5. Check that the little smokies are hot and bubbling before serving. If the sauce is too thin, cook uncovered on high for an additional 15-20 minutes to thicken.
  6. Serve warm with toothpicks for easy snacking.

Notes

Use thicker barbecue sauce for better coating. For gluten-free, ensure barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce are gluten-free. Frozen little smokies can be used but may require extra cooking time. For a caramelized finish, broil cooked smokies 3-5 minutes watching carefully. Leftovers store up to 4 days refrigerated and freeze well up to 3 months.
