Indulgent, spicy, and ridiculously easy to make, these bacon-wrapped mozzarella sticks with Nashville hot seasoning are perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • String mozzarella cheese (pre-packaged mozzarella sticks)
  • Thin-cut bacon
  • All-purpose flour
  • Eggs (lightly beaten)
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Nashville hot seasoning (paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar)
  • Vegetable oil
  • Optional dipping sauce: ranch, blue cheese dressing, or honey mustard

Instructions

  1. Unwrap the mozzarella sticks and set them aside.
  2. Take one strip of bacon and wrap it tightly around each cheese stick. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
  3. In a bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with Nashville hot seasoning for bold flavor.
  4. Set up a dredging station: one bowl with flour, another with lightly beaten eggs, and a third with seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Roll each bacon-wrapped stick in flour, dip in the egg, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Add vegetable oil to a skillet and heat over medium-high until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  7. Carefully place the sticks in the hot oil and fry for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove the sticks with tongs and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  9. Plate the mozzarella sticks with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy while hot.

Notes

Use toothpicks to keep the bacon securely wrapped. Adjust the spice level by modifying the cayenne in the seasoning. Double-coat for extra crunch if desired.
