  • 2 cups (60g) cornflake crumbs or crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed shredded hash browns, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and diced onions.
  3. Add salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using). Stir gently until evenly mixed, ensuring the texture is creamy but not soupy.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. In a smaller bowl, combine crushed cornflakes or crispy fried onions with melted butter. Toss until crumbs are coated.
