A quick and easy 5-ingredient party dip made in a slow cooker, combining creamy, spicy buffalo flavors with tender shredded chicken. Perfect for game days, potlucks, or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (about 450g or 1 lb)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce (240ml)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (120ml)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100g)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by removing skin and shredding the meat using two forks to get about 3 cups (1 lb) of shredded chicken.
  2. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature or microwaving for 15-20 seconds.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  4. Add shredded chicken and shredded cheddar cheese to the bowl. Stir well to coat all the chicken in the sauce.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Set on low and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
  6. Once cooked, stir the dip well. If too thick, add a splash of milk or more buffalo sauce to loosen. Serve hot.

Notes

Stir the dip occasionally during cooking to prevent sticking and promote even melting. If the dip thickens too much, add a splash of milk or extra buffalo sauce. For dairy-free options, substitute vegan cream cheese and ranch dressing. Adjust spice level by varying the amount of buffalo sauce. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days and can be frozen for up to 2 months.
