  • 1 large ripe banana
  • ½ medium avocado
  • 1 cup (240 ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup (120 g) Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 45 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Peel the ripe banana and avocado, rinse the baby spinach, and measure out almond milk and yogurt.
  2. Place 2 cups of fresh baby spinach into the blender jar.
  3. Add the peeled banana, avocado half, and ½ cup of Greek yogurt over the spinach.
  4. Pour in 1 cup (240 ml) of unsweetened almond milk.
  5. Add ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup if desired.
  6. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of chia seeds for extra fiber and thickness (optional).
  7. Add 4-5 ice cubes to chill the smoothie.
  8. Blend starting on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for 45 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and creamy.
  9. Check consistency; add more almond milk if too thick or more banana/avocado if too thin and pulse again.
  10. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with chia seeds or a mint leaf.

Notes

Start blending with greens at the bottom for better texture. Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness. Adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup as desired. Let avocado and banana soften if blender struggles. Store in fridge up to 24 hours, shake before drinking. Avoid freezing to maintain texture.
