  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the unsalted butter and peanut butter together until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and continue mixing until light and creamy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk. Start and end with the dry mixture. Mix just until combined—don’t overmix.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Tap the pan gently on the counter to release any air bubbles.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
